I paid $12 to the namesdatabase 3-4 years ago.

They have charged me for "auto-renewal" at least twice since then, and have not responded to a single inquiry I have placed with them over the last two years.

They just keep charging me even though I have requested to be removed again, and again, and again.

It's off to the better business bureau with this one.

My mobile phone, my PDA and my notebook emits bluetooth and Wifi signals, I’m sure they go further than what my Nike+ transmitter can do, as the receiver sometimes got difficulty getting data even at very close range too

I just saw Oblivion demo at my local video games store :(. If only I had more time to play this damn Xbox. Problem is I know that once i'll start I wont quit for a week :)

I'd love to play Oblivion at some point (though I don't have a XBox 360 - or a powerful enough computer). I played Elder Scrolls (the game before Oblivion) and it kept me busy for many months. Great game but it does require a large time commitment. :)

Things like this always happen! The best life I had was during college/university. Since then--we moved separate ways and now I look for some of them. Have not yet been as lucky as you- Hope someday I could have the joy of bumping into some friends on the web.

Another way of displaying Nike+ data could be with the flash widget I have created.
It works similar to the wordpress widget, but uses flash to display the data in a Nike+ look and feel.

Yeah, and one shouldn't bring around his mobile phone as well, as that can be tracked too. Heck, if there's someone following me 20 meters away, walking about the same pace as me and following me through 5 to 8 kms, just to map out where I do my runs, I'd definitely be cautious :)

Well, due to bad weather and flu, I didn't manage to do my jogs or walks much. I did sync data on the 30th and 31st of last year and it does work. Our ISP here not bad :)

Since u got the ipod and nikeplus, how'd you manage send data via itunes to nikeplus?

I've been stuck here for more than a week now since the Taiwan earthquake. iTunes just won't connect.

Maybe u know some other ways.

yeah.. the internet is bloody slow today.. cant watch youtube, cant download stuff at the speed i usually do.. and its so bloody annoying.. hope this thing is fixed soon!

You ah, if you clicked on the map and went to the flickr page. You can zoom out and see that the photos are from Australia.

Hmmm. Is this Singapore? I knew about this but didn't bother since Google Maps coverage of Singapore is yucky - read the Punggol area is a low-res blob of imagery captured more than 5 years ago! Really....

I'd geotag an image of an interesting place. Not where my house is located. Anyway, Flickr's got some interesting options when geotagging. For example, you can have a public photo, but the location is private to either friends or family.

I'm just wondering if the location data is in the EXIF tags, would Flickr strip it out?

For what is worth, there are plenty of programs to associate your GPS data with your photos.

BUT the real question is do you really want to display that in public as you just did in that photo. There are very important privacy issues by geolocalizing photos.
For people you are taking into photos, for people you are visiting the house, for yourself.

Use case scenario: You post photos of your house with GPS information, then everyone knows on Google where you live with a precision of a few meters.
Later on, on your weblog, you announced you go to vacation. The house is empty. Message: "Hey you out of there, come to rob my house".

At least it would not be an issue, if it's really your choice. But if you do that with a friend's house who has in the room interesting pieces of things to steal. Or if you take this cute girl (let's say teenager) on the beach and she's being tracked by a pervert.

Mash-ups are not only working for the good usage, it is working also for bad usage.
